Welcome to the English Department Knowledge Base at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
The EDKB Wiki is a database that makes available the various interests, talents, and resources of the English Department community. See the Main Page to learn more about the EDKB. The wiki does not offer information on current course offerings, nor is it a comprehensive archive of materials related to all past courses. Visit the English Department home page for this type of information.

Unfinished business

  • Marthine - .pdf to text conversion
    • some of the old connections on the old wiki
  • Marthine - double check on older links to ensure that they go to the wiki (grad handbook, etc.)
  • Ryan had emailed people with classes that weren't represented in the wiki
    • received about five syllabi to post
  • Porter's Interview - text version is complete; he's requested that audio version not be made available
  • Marthine - faculty survey
    • drafts in planning meeting
      • this would be good to complete in the end of the project push

What we will focus on for the duration

  • Ryan will focus on inputting the syllabi he's received
  • Kim needs to follow up with Joni re: staff training
    • Can work on putting some materials that the staff would have input
  • Ryan will input exam material - 19th century list
  • Kim needs to update help pages to direct to the media wiki page
  • Ryan will edit Porter's page to reflect the text only interview
  • English Club Follow up
    • Marthine will email Ryan the undergrad who contacted us and he will follow up with her
    • We'll offer to meet with them before the 20th with the recognition that it is rather last minute and this probably won't happen
    • but we'll invite them to host materials there nonetheless
  • Kim - take a look at JOOMLA and assess how viable it may be as a departmental platform and what the convergence opportunities may be for merging the Wiki with it or running them parallel.
