1. Satan -- How do we feel about him now? Do we like him better or worse for admitting his wrongs?

If Adam and Eve are "perfect," why are they weak to temptation? Are they a product of both God and Satan?

2. Dreams -- Why is a dream used as a device for Satan's temptation of Eve? Do all dreams originate with Satan? How does Adam know about dreams? Why is Eve the one susceptible to a dream?

3. Knowledge -- Is Milton suggesting that knowledge/curiosity are bad? (ll. 465, 770-77), Bk. V, for example) What good is obedience without knowledge?

What is the connection between love and obedience? Which comes first?

Why must there be a hierarchy in heaven and on earth? How equal in freedom can characters be if they aren't equal in being?
